- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆This was my first and last in person experience with HR Block. I have used them since 2011 but will never use them again after this year. I went in location to try for the refund advance which I stated several times. Not only did it take much to long, he didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Couldn't answer my basic tax questions, but we were charged $437 for a 1040-A. Still a very simple tax return we just literally had one extra box, we didn't have property, a business, expenses or anything just simple W-2's and a form for school. When we asked about the error he didn't really care, and the manager didn't really care. Corp said wait to see how the local branch "fixes" things. They were going to give us a $100 check in good faith to correct the issue, we still haven't heard from them and he called last Friday. WORST EXPERIENCE EVERBy Brittany Cooper, July 31, 2017
